Chic Shock Chronicles

My artwork explores the connections between identity, technology and cultural change.

Drawing inspiration from anthropology, fashion, art, alchemy, mysticism and mythology,
I aim to create a narrative that resonates with themes such as feminism,
gender dynamics, evolving canons of beauty and transhumanism.

Currently, the intersection of heightened digital immersion and the normalization of plastic surgery,
are reshaping the conventional beauty standards in a way
that extends beyond the realm of human aesthetics.

Consequently, the integration of AI technologies is becoming a significant threat,
not just for distorting our perception of the human body but also
because it blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.

This opens to me an ethical discussion:
If AI creations live in a simulation, do these AI models possess consciousness?
How does their awareness differ from human consciousness?

My project integrates AI tools such as Automatic1111's Stable Diffusion Web UI,
to challenge conventional ideas of beauty, ugliness, and cultural significance.

My work contributes to a rich dialogue at the intersection of art, technology and the evolution of human experience.
